our story

Honey & Hive symbolizes our commitment to provide happiness to our community through our love of ice cream. Our core values reflect the way bees operate in their hive colony: In Harmony. We’re following a long time dream in opening an ice cream shop in our community sourcing the best ingredients locally and beyond.

 

As MAPSO residents (originally from Brooklyn, NY) and family of six, we decided to start planning a lifelong dream creating a unique fresh small batch ice cream shop concept introducing fun and exciting flavors. We use local fresh produce and fun natural ingredients to liven up those taste buds. You may find us shopping at the Maplewood Farmer's Market on Springfield Avenue! You will experience some of the most creamiest, most amazing delicious artisan flavors you've tasted! Flavors such as Honey Vanilla Bean, Malted Milk Chocolate, Lychee Pineapple, Matcha Cookies & Cream, Ube Choco Mallow, Natural Cookie Monster, Vegan Bourbon Banana Chip, Strawberry Thai Basil & Cold Brew Stracciatella are some of the flavors we offer, just to name a few. 

 

Our four children have inspired us in the design process so we've included a fun play area with tic tac toe, drawing pads and a wooden mobile ice cream shop for your littles ones to enjoy while parents take a break to relax and enjoy ice cream or a milkshake. Our scoop shop is open to all ages, cultures and backgrounds to come together and just bee. A space to come together and build community, connect with family and friends and enjoy delicious artisanal ice cream!

 

Come by after work, school or over the weekend and enjoy your favorite treat!
